Come along and be fascinated by John Putley, as he explores the wonderful myth and reality of the Highwaymen!A much admir’d treatise on the evolution and development of the dashing highwaymen of Gloucestershire and beyond. It outlines the history of these villains (both men and women) – who today bask in a reputation of being loveable, gallant rogues! It recounts the stories of some local highwaymen and considers the highwayman’s elevation to hero status via literature, art and song, all contained within a merry chase that leads us to a thrilling conclusion as to the ultimate demise of those who took to the road… Tickets (available in advance or on the door): £6.00 adult/ £4.50 concessions/ Children £2.00 Admission includes entry to the Museum & refreshments of tea and biscuits |
