Humans vs Nature? – In conversation with Prof. Adam Hart and Jo Durrant

Humans are endlessly fascinated and inspired by the natural world, yet we don’t always have a positive impact on it. So how can we have a more harmonious relationship with nature?

In a wide-ranging discussion, Jo Durrant will be talking to Professor Adam Hart about climate change, biodiversity, and conservation. They will explore why we value some species more than others and just what the realities are for communities living alongside large predators.

Professor Adam Hart is Professor of Science Communication at the University of Gloucestershire. An award-winning ecologist and conservation scientist, he is a regular broadcaster and author, writing popular science books including ‘The Deadly Balance’ and ‘Unfit for Purpose‘.

 

 

 

Jo Durrant is the award-winning presenter of the independent arts & science podcast ‘Jo Durrant’s Beautiful Universe’. She’s a highly respected and accomplished interviewer and event chair, and a familiar face at literature, history, and science festivals. Jo is freelance but for over 20 years was a presenter, producer & reporter with BBC radio and interviewed hundreds of people, from Melanie C to Tim Peake.

 

 

 

Adam is a regular guest on Jo’s podcast with their myth busting series, so this is your chance to see them in conversation, and there will be a chance to ask your questions in the Q+A at the end.
