How to date and record timber-framed buildings
Unfortunately the dendrochronology workshop is being cancelled in light of the current advice from the government. The Gloucestershire Building Recording Group plan to host their events later in the year once it is safe to do so.
A workshop by Dr. Andy Moir (dendrochronologist & chairperson of the Gloucestershire Building Recording Group). Our project proposes to establish the precise years of construction of 36 medieval buildings in Gloucester, Tewkesbury and Newent though the science of tree-ring dating. We will increase public understanding of this rich heritage and map the chronology of early development of each place.
The workshop is limited to 12 participants.
A £2 contribution to the project is suggested, but entirely voluntary.
Coffee & tea is available, but participants will need to bring their own lunch.
