The Abbey Lawn Cottages: An introductory talk on these Tudor timber-framed buildings

Two talks will take place at 11am and then at 2pm at the John Moore Museum. They will last approximately one hour.

Visit the historic John Moore Museum and the beautifully restored Merchant's House nestled amongst the Abbey Cottages, a continuous row of 15th century timber-framed houses. Enjoy an introductory talk on timber-framed buildings from Curator, Simon Lawton, looking at how they were built, who built them and for what purpose. Learn about A frames, wattle and daub and find out about what role these buildings played in Tudor Tewkesbury. This fascinating talk will include a tour of both the interior and exterior of the buildings.
Advance booking advisable; Adult £3.00, Concessions £2.50.
