Education & Outreach
We may be closed to the public during the winter but our education and outreach services are available to schools and groups all year round.
Over the last 6 years The John Moore Museum has developed a countywide reputation for its excellent education & outreach service.
We provide a range of cross curricular resources and workshops for schools and groups of all ages, including our annual Tudor Living History sessions featuring costumed re-enactors.

Our typical school visits take place between 10am and 2.30pm but these timings can be adjusted to suit your requirements.
If you can't come to us then let our collections come to you. We have various loans collections to support your teaching and are happy to deliver outreach sessions or assemblies at your school.
You can also access a variety of free interactive whiteboard resources to support your visit from the newly launched Timeportals website.

Events
Visit us during the school holidays and take part in our exciting events such as living history weekends and live animal days, including birds of prey and bats.
Community Groups
Are you looking for speakers to deliver talks to your group or society? Whether you are a W.I., Friendship Group or residential home, we can deliver talks and guided tours on a range of topics from the life and times of John Moore to Tudor Witchcraft! We would be happy to tailor these sessions to meet your own individual requirements.
